SUBJECT: Increase in AFSCME Local 2017 membership dues
Dear AFSCME Local 2017 Member:
At the Direction of the AFSCME International we are required to increase our dues. The local applied for a waiver not to increase our dues and William Lucy, AFSCME International Secretary-Treasurer, denied the waiver. Please be advised AFSCME Local 2017 approved an increase in membership dues at the June 3 2008 Executive Board Meeting. The new bi-weekly amount to be deducted from all AFSCME Local 2017 dues paying members is $15.10 to be come effective July 1 2008.
