1.        Mark opened the meeting with asking Fred to lead us in the Pledge of Allegiance.
2.        Motion to approve minutes January 6, February 3, February 25, 2009 by Fred and seconded by John. Approved by all.
3.        Correspondence-Cathy read letter Mark wrote to President Wynn & President McEntee concerning not receiving membership cards for many years.
4.        Finance Report-December 08-$3,332.75-$34.70 (People Meeting-Mark), -388.87 (Perkins Christmas Party included 2 $20.00 Publix Gift cards. Also checks from Norm and Carolyn for $100.00 each were cashed. Balance for January 3,092.75. Motion by Bill S to approve and seconded by Fred. Approved by all. Cathy asked Fred to review Finance Report and bank statements.
5.        Carlos signed up two new members.
6.        Membership is around 80.
7.        Mark attended the Health Committee Meeting.
8.        Mark announced Robert Monico resigned from the Pension Board as our Representative and John Gardella will be his replacement.
9.        Mark, Cathy and Irwin attended a Labor Management Meeting last month on safety, training, promotions, hurricane policy, management, budget, and obstructions at intersections.
10.      Mark-Negotiations have opened. We met last Thursday and we meet next Monday.
11.   Mark introduced Irwin.     The Negotiation Team is Mark, Cathy, Russ and Irwin. Sue & John are the alternates. We went over ground rules on March 5 and proposals Mark 9. Irwin went over the proposals from the Union and the City. AFSCME Local 2017 has been in existence since 1976 and for 33 years we have moved forward not backward. We have a long way to go with negotiations just beginning     and we will fight for keep our what we have.
12.   March 16, Executive Board Meeting at Norris Center at 5:30pm, April 7 Norris Center at 5:00pm.
13.   Next Negotiation Meeting March 25, 31.
14.   Mark opened up floor to questions.
15.   Paulette brought up early retirement the Police are looking into. We need to also look into. City did early retirement in 1995 and 2000.
16.   Michael brought up water fees.
17.     Mark brought up reserves and City Council did not use reserves last year.  
18.   Fred made a motion to adjourn meeting at 6:55pm. 2 nd   by Stephen (Baer) and approved by all.
