Membership Meeting for June 9, 2009

Meeting called to order at 5:33pm

    1. Mark opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance.

    2. Motion to approve minutes March 3, March 16, April 7, April 14, April 27, May 5, June 2, 2009 by Fred and seconded by Justin. Approved by all.

    3. Correspondence-

    1. . Cathy read letter dated April 10 from Bill Moss appointing John Gardella as our new Union Representative as Pension Board Trustee until 2/6/11.

    2. Cathy read Memo from Council 79 People Convention and Conference Board Meetings July 24-25 in Lake Mary FL. Fred made a motion for Mark & Cathy to be the delegates and for Sue to attend. 2 nd by Bill and approved by all. Fred made a motion for John or Russ to attend and room be paid by Local 2017 if not paid for by Council 79.

    1. Officers Reports-

    2. Finance Report-June 01-$2,863.08.

    3. Membership is around 78.

    4. Negotiation Meeting with City-Mark & Irwin went over proposals & discussion of IAFF contract negotiations. Concessions on Article 25 and discussion and explanation of personal leave.

    5. Chuck is the Health Insurance representative for the union.

    6. John attend his first Pension Board meeting.

    7. Bill received temporary Union cards and will pass out to those that are here.

    8. Motion to adjourn meeting at 7:30 by Fred. Chuck 2 nd and approved by all.

    9. Meeting adjourned at 7:30pm.
